• To coincide with the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals in September 2015, the International Disability Alliance (IDA)—in partnership with the São Paulo State Secretariat for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and UNICEF—held a conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil from 22 – 24 October titled: “The Post-2015 Agenda and the UN CRPD in Latin America: Fostering Regional Dialogue to Develop Common Understanding on Implementation of the UN CRPD and an Inclusive Post-2015 Framework”.

    The overall aim of the Conference was to enhance multi-stakeholder dialogue on implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) and the inclusive Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including for marginalized groups within the population of persons with disabilities.
